Knitting - a sacred and meditative activityA woman asked the priest if it was all right to pray while she knit. He responded "of course." She then asked if it was all right to knit while she prayed. The priest was appalled. I see knitting as a form of prayer or meditation. I always have in mind the person who is to receive the knitting, and "hold them in the light." Silly Poem (At least, it is short No matter if your food is dry or oily, JokeA traffic officer was astonished to see a woman knitting while driving at high speed along a city street. It took some skill to draw alongside but eventually the officer was able to make eye contact through the driver's window. The officer signaled the driver to lower her window. As she did so, the officer shouted "Pull over! Pull over!" The woman shouted back - "No! It's a jumper! A jumper!" |
